Welcome to the Microsoft Community and thanks for asking the question. Do not worry, let me help you with this issue. A few more details would help us to provide a better suggestion:. Is this a standalone version of Publisher ?

Which web browser do you use? Note: Ensure you have the original media and product key for the products that you uninstall. Hope that helps.

Provide us the additional details and let us know the status. Thank you. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback. In my experience, running 3 different versions of the same program is definitely gonna create problems in the long run, especially when it comes to MS office. To repeat: When I tried to download and install Publisher onto my Win7 machine it would try to install and then tell me simply that “Somethings’ Wrong” and to try your on-line help which only brought me back here. Same error code. I find nothing in the forum or answers below. I have never had a problem loading an Office product before. I currently have pub and Pub loaded on this machine as well and they work perfectly.

Please do not tell me I have to take all this off. I cannot understand why there is no specific error message that tells me what is wrong. Do I need to get my money back? In reply to Anoop K M’s post on February 8, Thanks for your reply I read the stuff in the link. I have been using and programming computers since my 1st TRS in and have owned a software development company so you might consider me experienced. I have attached a capture of the event. This showed up exactly the same way for the DVD and the download version. So that pretty well eliminates a browser problem, unless MS has seen fit only to recognize the IE browser, which I think is unrealistic.

As I said I have both Pub and Pub running without interference between them and in fact when I loaded Pub , it asked me if I wanted to keep , which I did for good reasons. I have to assume that the Pub installer is smart enough to tell me if there is a conflict with earlier versions, but given my experience with this application so far I am beginning to believe this is an afterthought to the main Office app set and there is very little that has really been tested.

MS pays people far more money that I make to do this kind of test work. This kind of thing should have been done long before the Pub software release. If you have other suggestions, please make them now and I will try to help, if they are not dangerous or time consuming. If MS is not interested in investing the time of their staff in coming up with a loadable version of Pub , then I immediately want an official email from MS admitting their lack of interest or capability to fix the problem.

The amount I time that I have spent on what should be a trivial support issue is far too much.. In reply to PeteCharlton’s post on February 8, Rick Roonie. Have you tried resetting the browser settings? If not, try it. This site in other languages x.
