I have been trying to partition a 4 TB internal disk drive but the Windows 7 Disk Manager only recognizes The drive is unformated and unallocated. Everything that I have read suggests that I should be able to see all of the disk drive. I want to partion the drive into 3 volumes approximate 1. The manufacturer has a suggestion that the accesible capacity may be limited to 2 TB depending upon how my system is configured but no further explanation is provided. Thank you for the reply but thse were the exact steps I went through and it would only recognize 1. However, I cheated. I had another computer with the newer BIOS that recognized the complete drive. Using that machine I created my desired partitions and then placed the drive in the original computer.
